BAY AREA'S ONLY CERTIFIED WATER LOSS SPECIALIST©

IDEAL specializes in water damage:
• As the science of water damage restoration has evolved over the past two decades,  IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration) has taken a leadership role in setting industry standards.  Our field supervisors and technicians are all IICRC certified to handle any water damage.

Initial Evaluation and Inspection:
• Upon arrival at job site, a Project Manager will arrive to inspect and evaluate the damage utilizing moisture meters, hygrometers and if needed infrared cameras.  A recommended scope of emergency service and drying procedures is discussed and agreed upon.

Extraction and Dehumidification:
• Our certified water damage technicians use state-of-the-art water extraction equipment to remove water from carpets, floors and crawlspaces. Powerful air movers, dehumidifiers, and other sophisticated drying equipment remove remaining moisture from the structure. Drying is a necessity in order to restore water-damaged materials to a pre-loss condition.
• Damage to drywall and flooring can be obvious from large amounts of standing water.  However, water travels into hidden, void spaces inside walls and below flooring that can lead to the onset of mold if not detected and dried right away.  Time is critical and humidity control can prove to be the primary difference in preventing further structural damage.

No Conflict Service Policy:
IDEAL does not provided reconstruction services.  In ‘clean water’ losses, we have no predetermined need to rip-out and replace materials.  We believe in drying and saving what can be saved, such as drywall, carpets, hardwood floors, etc.  We are water damage specialists and specialize in restorative drying measures.

Categories of Water:

Category 1 Water:  Water originating from a source that does not pose substantial harm to humans.  Also referred to as “clean water.”

Category 2 Water:  Water containing a significant degree of chemical, biological and/or physical contamination and having the potential to cause discomfort or sickness if consumed by or exposed to humans.  Also referred to as “grey water”.

Category 3 Water:  Grossly unsanitary water, containing pathogenic agents, arising from sewage or other contaminated water sources and having the likely of causing discomfort or sickness if consumed by or exposed to humans.  This category includes all forms of seawater, ground surface water and rising water from rivers or streams. Also referred to as "black water."

Sewage Remediation
A categorization of the level of contamination of a damaged structure is required to perform loss assessment and evaluation activities.  The category of water contamination must be considered so that procedures can be established for processing water-damaged structures and materials safely.

Our certified technicians use state-of-the-art equipment for removal and cleaning of the sewage contaminants. Cleaning and remediating your sewage loss under negative air pressure is important so that the contaminants do not cross contaminate the unaffected areas of the building. The structure is also cleaned with industrial-strength cleaning agents and anti-microbial disinfectants to prevent mold growth and eliminate odors. We then use sophisticated drying equipment to remove remaining moisture.

Successful clean up of sewage-damaged structures and personal property requires that restoration professionals adhere to the IICRC Standards. These Standards assure all parties of thorough, cost effective, and prompt restoration services.
